Steam: $3.99 (80% off) · regular price $19.99 · 91% positive Steam reviews (33,711) · ended Oct 22, 1:00 PM ET
What it is: An open-world action RPG from Monolith Productions set in Mordor, where you play from a third-person view and fight through the ranks of Sauron's orc army. Fights mix sword combat with quiet stealth kills, while the story explores the spirit bound to you and how the Rings of Power came to be. Orc captains you face can become personal rivals.
What players say: The fluid, Arkham-style combat and the system that turns orc captains into memorable enemies get praise again and again. Many also say it still holds up well years after release.
Good to know: Some online extras, including Vendetta missions, leaderboards and the transfer of rivals to Shadow of War, are no longer available.
Worth buying? Fans of open-world brawlers with a stealth side should pick it up, since it has never cost less on Steam, and its 91% rating shows how well it has aged.
Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments

Steam: $2.99 (90% off) · regular price $29.99 · 89% positive Steam reviews (2,407) · ends Oct 31, 1:00 PM ET
What it is: A detective adventure from Frogwares where you play Sherlock Holmes across six separate cases in Victorian England, from murders to thefts. You inspect crime scenes, question suspects and link clues into deductions, then decide who is guilty and whether to condemn or pardon them. Your choices shape Holmes's reputation and come back later.
What players say: The deduction system wins people over, and the varied cases make each one feel like its own episode. A few players ran into crashes or freezes on their PCs.
Worth buying? Mystery fans who like to work things out themselves rather than follow markers will be right at home here, as 89% of Steam reviewers agree, and the timing to pick it up is good.
Anna's Quest

Grab itSteam Deck: VerifiedLowest Steam price everRuns on older PCs
Steam: $1.99 (90% off) · regular price $19.99 · 87% positive Steam reviews (1,843) · ends Oct 26, 1:00 PM ET
What it is: A hand-drawn point-and-click adventure from Daedalic about Anna, a girl who uses telekinesis, odd tools and a sly fox ally to get from Glass Mountain down into a dungeon. Its dark fairy-tale world mixes witches, trolls and dragons with grim jokes. You gather items, combine them and talk your way past strange characters.
What players say: Players say the story gets better as it goes, with characters and plot threads tying together by the end. Some found the early chapters childish and the writing hard to warm to.
Worth buying? Point-and-click fans with a taste for grim jokes should add this 87%-rated fairy tale to their library, and this is a fine moment to do it.
Disc Room

Grab itSteam Deck: VerifiedLowest Steam price everRuns on older PCs
Steam: $2.24 (85% off) · regular price $14.99 · 92% positive Steam reviews (970) · ended Oct 22, 1:00 PM ET
What it is: An action game set in 2089, where a scientist in a baggy space suit explores a huge disc-shaped ship orbiting Jupiter. Each room fills with spinning saw blades, and you dodge them to survive long enough or meet small goals. Dying is part of the design, since it helps unlock new abilities.
What players say: Players love how quick the rooms are, the many disc types and the cryptic puzzles hidden around the ship. Several also note it is tough, both in reflexes and in puzzle solving.
Good to know: Expect cartoonish gore as the hero gets sliced up.
Worth buying? Anyone who likes short, twitchy runs between other games will get a lot from this 92%-rated arcade challenge, and it's well timed to grab. Some rooms flash heavily, which can be hard on sensitive eyes.
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga

Grab itSteam Deck: Verified
Steam: $7.49 (85% off) · regular price $49.99 · 89% positive Steam reviews (26,739) · It was $4.99 on Steam within the past year · ended Oct 22, 1:00 PM ET
What it is: A LEGO action adventure covering all nine Skywalker films, which you can start from any trilogy. You swing lightsabers, aim blasters, fly in space dogfights and explore 23 planets with more than 300 characters to unlock. Collecting Kyber Bricks upgrades abilities across classes like Jedi and heroes.
What players say: Many enjoy its goofy humor and sheer size as a fun retelling of the films. The usual gripes are a grindy pile of side content and a feeling that it falls short of the older LEGO Star Wars games.
Good to know: You can play it in local split-screen co-op with a second player.
Worth buying? Families and Star Wars fans after a big, silly trip through the films will get plenty out of it, backed by 89% on Steam, though patient buyers can wait for a deeper sale.
The Night of the Rabbit

Steam: $2.99 (90% off) · regular price $29.99 · 87% positive Steam reviews (1,118) · It was $1.99 on Steam within the past year · ends Oct 26, 1:00 PM ET
What it is: A hand-drawn point-and-click adventure from Daedalic where young Jerry, who dreams of becoming a magician, follows a white rabbit into Mousewood, a forest of talking animals. A shadowy threat hangs over the residents, and Jerry has to step up as the story moves from light to bittersweet. It runs around 20 hours, with optional card games and hidden-object side puzzles.
What players say: The gorgeous artwork and heartfelt story about growing up get lots of love. Slow pacing and wordy dialogue are what wear some people down.
Worth buying? Patient adventure fans who want a long, gentle fairy tale will be well served, backed by 87% positive reviews. It went lower in the past year, so if you're not in a hurry, a deeper sale may come around.
Iratus: Lord of the Dead

Worth a trySteam Deck: PlayableLowest Steam price everRuns on older PCs
Steam: $2.99 (90% off) · regular price $29.99 · 84% positive Steam reviews (2,970) · ends Oct 26, 1:00 PM ET
What it is: A turn-based tactics game with roguelike runs where you play the necromancer Iratus, freshly freed and bent on reaching the surface. You build undead minions such as skeletons and zombies from parts of fallen enemies, upgrade your underground lair and push through catacombs full of dwarves and mercenaries. Besides killing foes, you can also break them by draining their sanity.
What players say: Crafting minions from enemy parts and the many build options get high marks, and fans of Darkest Dungeon often like it. Critics say later floors repeat the same encounters and turn tedious.
Worth buying? Strategy players who want to command the villain's side in turn-based fights will find a lot in this 84%-rated game, at a good moment to try it. If repeated encounters wear you down, it may drag in later floors.
Shadowgrounds

Steam: $1.04 (85% off) · regular price $6.99 · 82% positive Steam reviews (1,235) · ends Oct 29, 1:00 PM ET
What it is: In this top-down shooter from Frozenbyte, you fight back an alien invasion through dark levels that break apart around you. Flamethrowers, grenade launchers and laser rifles each get their own upgrades, and shining your flashlight changes how some aliens behave. Glass shatters and barrels explode as the fighting spreads.
What players say: Fans like the weapon upgrades and the backstory hidden in PDAs and terminals. Its age shows, and several feel the later swarms of enemies get more annoying than fun.
Good to know: Two players can team up on one PC using a split keyboard or gamepads.
Worth buying? A fun throwback for anyone who misses old-school alien shooters, rated 82% on Steam and a sound buy right now. Skip it if you can't commit to long levels, since there's no mid-level saving.

The Green Light

itch.io: Free · regular price $4.99 on Steam · 78% positive Steam reviews (143) · ends Oct 29, 2026
What it is: You play Fred, a man trapped in a job he can't stand who keeps seeing things that aren't really there. One night at work, a radio voice tells him that freedom waits at a distant lighthouse lit by a green glow, and you walk him there through dark, eerie places. Jump scares and cutscenes break up the short trip.
What players say: The voice acting gets the most praise, and many point out that it can be finished in a single short sitting. The main complaint is a story that loses its way and an ending that leaves people cold.
Worth grabbing? Short indie horror fans will get a quick evening out of it, especially if they play The Black Within alongside it. It sits at 78% on Steam, so skip it if you need a plot that pays off in the end.

What players say: Reviewers single out the strong voice acting and the creepy atmosphere. Some ran into technical trouble, from bugs to uneven audio levels.
